PuPSwitch 3 was designed for 3 pickup type guitars (Strats) that have a 5-way blade switch. But the pickups don't all need to be single coils - any combination of single coils and humbuckers will work fine. PuPSwitch 3 uses a 4-position rotary switch to select one of 4 banks used in conjunction with your 5-way blade switch.
PuPSwitch 5 is an enhanced version of PuPSwitch 4. Like PupSwitch 4, you have a choice of series, parallel, split primary, or split secondary in PuP 5 positions 1 and 3. Additionally, PuP 5 offers an in/out of phase for these 2 settings. The center PuP 5 position offers a series or parallel option, but with a coil swap.  That is, this position will use the primary coil of one pickup with the secondary of the other in series or parallel.

PuPSwitch 6 is primarily for basses with 2 pickups. It utilizes a heavy duty 3-way toggle and replaces either the existing 3-way toggle or a blend control. The switch is entirely user configurable using DIP switches on the attached circuit board. Like PuPSwitch 4 and 5, the DIP switches allow you to program the wiring configuration of your pickups for each of the 3 toggle positions. You can select bridge, neck, series, parallel, series out of phase, and parallel out of phase for each of the three PuP 6 toggle positions.

"In 2010 I shelved the PuPSwitch project and moved from CA to FL.  I decided to put the webpage back up as I was receiving inquiries about the switches.  PuPSwitch 1 and 2 are still available, but they are no longer in production. Many players commented that the 12-position rotary switch on PuPSwitch 1 and 2 was too cumbersome to use."   -   Keith

PuPSwitch 4 is primarily for HH (2 - humbucker) guitars with the live performer in mind. PuPSwitch 4 pre-configures your pickups before they are routed to your existing pickup select switch. DIP switches allow you to select their preferred pickup configurations for each of the three PuP 4 toggle positions: Series, parallel, split primary, or split secondary are selectable for both neck and bridge pickups. PuPSwitch 4 will transform your axe from a limited 3 tone instrument to a 9 tone monster!
