PuPSwitch 3 was designed for 3 single coil pickup (Strat) type guitars that have a 5-way blade switch. But the pickups don't all need to be single coils - a humbucker in the bridge position will work fine with single coils in the middle and neck. PuPSwitch 3 uses a 4-position rotary to select one of 4 banks used in conjunction with your 5-way blade switch. Bank 4 lets you put all 3 pickups in parallel to various serial/parallel settings to all 3 pickups in series for a tone that ranges from ultimate funk to dark as night.
